Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
The Bible gives so many instances of supernatural provision.
Your thoughts
Thoughts come to us all the time. Sometimes, it’s about something that happened in the past or something we’re expecting to happen in future. It could be thoughts about our loved ones, education, health, finances…anything going through our mind at any point in time.
The word “anxious” in Philippians 4:6 is translated from the Greek word “Merimnao,” which means “to take thought.” It connotes centering your mind on something in such a way as to become concerned about it. Often, it refers to taking a thought that draws us away from what should be our focus.
Thoughts, anxiety, and worry
When our minds are bombarded with thoughts, the tendency is for us to “take” one or more of such thoughts, and ruminate or brood over them. This leads to worry, and God never wants us to worry. When you allow yourself to be worried over anything, those thoughts draw you away and get you distracted. This is why you must say “No!” to negative thoughts that make you worry.
Let The Lord take care of you
In Matthew 6:25-26; Jesus said, “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on… Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them….”
Stop worrying about what you’re going to eat, drink, or wear. That’s what the people of the world pursue, but your heavenly Father knows you need them.
Like the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, trust the Lord to take care of you.
Trusting God
Trust Him for the money you require for your education, your kids’ school fees, the funds to pay off your mortgage or buy a new property.
Trust Him to take good and absolute care of you and make your life glorious.
God’s expectations from you
There’s just ONE thing He requires of you: “…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”(Matthew 6:33).
Make soul-winning your number one priority and watch Him take care of everything that concerns you.
Supernatural provision
Even if you were in debt, He’s your Lord, and He’s BIG! You don’t need to cry to any human person for help. Act on His Word: cast all your cares on Him and trust. He will not fail you.
He said in Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Hallelujah!
