Horoscope and Stargazing – The Reason God Does Not Approve of Them

Horoscope and Stargazing - The Reason God Does Not Approve of Them

I have heard questions like “What horoscope am I?”, “Can horoscope change?”, “How horoscopes work?”, “Horoscope who will I marry?”, “Horoscope who is my soulmate?”

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 47:13, “Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee”.

Horoscope is not a harmless fun

There are Christians who see nothing wrong with the use of astrological predictions or the Horoscope for their daily living. They regularly look up their “stars” on magazines and newspaper pages instead of paying attention to God’s Word. This is very wrong!

Our opening scripture shows God’s attitude toward astrology. He made it clear that the astrologers, stargazers, and fortune-tellers wouldn’t be able to save the Jews from the wrath that was imminent on them at the time.

The same thing today, you can’t receive any true guidance for your life through astrology.

There are dark sides in horoscope and astrology

The astrologers are those who study the arrangements of the celestial bodies—the various planets—and use them to foretell the future.

Astrologers actually rob those who patronize them of their relationship with the Spirit of God.

As a child of God, your life is not controlled by the planetary arrangements; your life and future are in God.

God’s real plan and idea

When you study the scriptures, you’d observe that God gave prophets to the Children of Israel in the Old Testament to give them revelations through the Holy Spirit and through His Word.

He leads and guides us today through His Word and His Spirit that lives in us, not through the Horoscope.

He doesn’t want you to try to look into the future by studying the planetary arrangements to know what your life holds; look into His Word.

Everything you need is in the Word of God

Proverbs 4:20 says “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.”

It’s important that you realize that everything you’d ever need in life is in the Word, so go for the Word and not horoscopy.

  1. When you say there are dark sides, does it mean that astrology and horoscopes have good sides as well. Does this mean that personalities (sanguine, melancholy etc) study is also bad.

I think it’s okay to have a view from there and redirect your life with the word of God. Life should be a balance rather than a one sided attack.
